Master Plan
Strategic master plan, July 2026. First the overall picture, and then the plans of the work teams.
The overall plan
The association in brief
- The Gil HaZahav Association was founded and registered as a nonprofit in August 2019.
- Its activity was based on collecting annual membership fees.
- At the end of 2025 there were 144 fee-paying members.
- As of June 2026, over 350 members are registered for 2026 to 2027.
What drives our growth
- Setting up work teams for different fields, with focus, expansion and strengthening in each.
- The membership card campaign for business discounts, a major lever for strengthening the association and increasing membership.
- The association's adoption of the Golden Club (culture and leisure), which adds strength and influence and widens the range of activities.
Our strengths
- The third-age community is 22% of the village's residents
- Motivation and the ability to run things independently
- The Golden Club: culture and leisure within the association
- Uniting all the third-age activity frameworks
- The "Akord BaKfar" orchestra
- The "Kesem BaKfar" ensemble
- Classical music appreciation
- "Coffee and Pastry" meetups
- Community garden
The rationale
The third-age community numbers about 1,250 women and men, 22% of the village's population (National Insurance records, January 2026). About 80% of them are physically able and independent.
About 1,000 members of the community have the potential to be active partners, whether by volunteering or by taking part in the association's many activities.
On this basis, the management sees the third-age community as a rich human resource, able to create the conditions for activity, involvement, vitality and a good life.
To realize the vision, the management formed work teams covering the full circle of possibilities. Each team handles a different field, allowing focused parallel work, with the teams sharing and taking one another into account.
